A pickup truck is most commonly a body-on-frame vehicle with a passenger compartment referred to as a “cabin” and a cargo bed in back. See more with Wikipedia.
Trucks can be classified as either straight or articulated. A straight truck is one in which all axles are attached to a single frame. An articulated vehicle is one that consists of two or more separate frames connected by suitable couplings.
A truck tractor is a motor vehicle designed primarily for drawing truck trailers and constructed to carry part of the weight and load of a semitrailer, which is a truck trailer equipped with one or more axles and constructed so that the end and a substantial part of its own weight and that of its load rests upon a truck tractor.
In contrast, a full trailer is constructed so that all of its own weight and that of its load rests upon its own wheels.
A crossover—also called a CUV (crossover utility vehicle)—is a type of vehicle with unibody construction.[1]
Crossovers are often based on a platform shared with a passenger car; compared to truck-based SUVs, they typically have better interior comfort, a more comfortable ride, and superior fuel economy, but lower off-road capability.[2][3][4]
Poor off-road capability is compounded by many crossovers being sold without all-wheel drive, which challenges their definition as “sports utility vehicles”.
Furthermore, there are various inconsistencies about whether some vehicles are considered crossovers or SUVs; therefore, the term “SUV” is often used as a catch-all for both crossovers and compact SUVs.[5]
A sedan /sɪˈdæn/, or saloon, is a passenger car in a three-box configuration with separate compartments for engine, passenger, and cargo.[1]
Variations of the sedan style of body include: close-coupled sedan, club sedan, convertible sedan, fastback sedan, hardtop sedan, notchback sedan and sedanet/sedanette.
At its simplest, a sedan is a traditional 4-door car with a closed roof and separate trunk. Popular models include the Honda Accord, Toyota Corolla and Chevrolet Malibu.
Sedans come in a variety of shapes and sizes from large to compact and most have an engine in the front that drives either the front or rear wheels. Options also include models powered by gasoline, diesel fuel, electricity or a combination (usually called hybrids).

A coupé or coupe is a passenger car with a sloping rear roofline and generally two doors (although several four-door cars have also been marketed as coupés).
Coupé was first applied to horse-drawn carriages for two passengers without rear-facing seats.[1] The term coupé comes from the French translation of “cut”.[2]
